My first book by this author and I loved it!

WOW! I loved it. I felt like she took every idea out of my head of what I wanted to read in that moment and wrapped it up in this one book. One of the things that drives me the craziest when I read a book with a character that is in a wheelchair is when the character finds a hot man and gets an insta-cure and is out of the chair by the end of the book. I find it insulting when I read books where the author writes it as if the character is unable to have a fulfilling life while they're in the chair but after said magic cure...all of their obstacles pull a Houdini and poof into thin air and they're suddenly a happily content person simply because their legs work. You won't find any insta-cures in this gem. Yes, there are insecurities but you don't get the impression that he is wallowing in self pity. I loved how the other MC didn't treat him with kid gloves due to the wheelchair. He didn't so much concentrate on what his partner couldn't do but modified things to fit what he COULD do.

Excellent and Sexy!!

Incredible! This was a slow burn story for me, but totally worth the intense feelings it stirred up. Deacon was an incredibly sexy Dom who was definitely a take charge kind of guy who gets what he wants, and he wants Kade. Kade is a sweet and loving Sub who was seriously hurt in a gay bashing that left him in a wheelchair. Great book of Deacon showing Kade he was worth and deserved to be taken care of and loved by him.

Kade loved the bdsm lifestyle, but didn't think he would have a chance again. Being in a wheelchair wasn't practical for that.
But that was until he met Deacon. And Deacon usually got his way, and he wanted Kade...

Buy Bubba Beer. He Earns It.

Bubba is awesome. Do not doubt Bubba. If Bubba comes to your town, buy him a lot of beer and direct him to your local strip club.

Word of warning: this is a collection of previously collected short stories, so if you're a faithful reader of Bubba's adventures, you may already own most of what's included. Even so, it's worth it to have them all in one book.

The allure of Bubba is...oddly complex for such a simple man. It's refreshing to meet a main character who just...is what he is. There was no single amazingly traumatic event in his past that formed him into a monster hunter. It's just the family business and he grew up doing it. If his family had owned a garage, Bubba would be a mechanic.

And he's the best sort of good ol' boy. In today's society, we're conditioned to consider rednecks and hillbillies as backwards, ignorant, racist, sexist, and virtually every other negative -ist out there. The average redneck hero runs from his past, wants to be `better than those ignorant folks back home'. Not Bubba. He likes beer, likes ogling strippers, likes fishing...and he'll dig graves for little old ladies and get the crap beat out of him on a daily basis because it's the right thing to do.

It doesn't matter that he's a redneck. He's a hero to us; to him, he's just a guy doing his job, trying to make the world a little better because it's the right thing to do.

So yeah, he deserves a beer.

I enjoyed this audiobook

This is the second series of Bubba the Monster Hunter. It is composed by several short stories and also the conclusion to Family Tradition. The last short story is about how the sword arrived in to the family.

I enjoyed this audiobook, although the stories did not have the freshness of the first series. I found there were less redneck expressions and touches, which was the funny part of the first book. There is a story from the point of view of Skeeter and the last one (about the origins of the sword) is narrated in third person, which breaks the continuity of the book. I expected more development on the relationship between Bubba and Agent Amy, but even though she appears several times in the book, there is not much about them. At the end of book one we get a glimpse into Bubba's heart, and he felt plainer this time.

We will also know what happened to Bubba's mother, but I confess that I found that part of the story a bit disappointing. The end of the continuation of Family Tradition was a bit abrupt in my opinion.

For the rest, it is a very entertaining book, but we have to understand that the first series set great expectations.

Something that bothered me a lot, especially at the beginning, was the change of narrator. John Solo did a great job, but I have to say that Andrew McFerrin's interpretation was superior and his voices were more differentiated. I feel McFerrin was the perfect narrator for this book, so I do not understand this decision. I think book series should be narrated by the same person, if possible, unless there is a special reason to hire a different narrator (e.g. to give a different atmosphere or narrate the story from a different point of view).

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first series and wants to know how Family Tradition ends. Bubba and his team are a set of very interesting characters and I think these books can be enjoyed by many people, even if they are not into horror.

All the novellas and short stories collected from Bubba the Monster Hunter season 2 for a bargain price. These stories are all good but even more enjoyable when you don't have to wait months for the next installment.
If you like laughter, mayhem, and monster redneck jokes, you will love Bubba and his friends.

Alphas don’t have dreams, they have goals

I feel proud that I’m in the 1% of men who are actually trying to improve my life. 99% of guys (Betas) never do anything to improve, says the author, John Winters. That’s a staggering stat. The vast majority of us never, ever, get out of our comfort zones, which is why those 99% aren’t Alphas. One quality all Alpha males possess is that willingness to improve. While a lot of us have a lot of room for improvement, if you have improvement in your life, you will get there. If you don't even try, of course, yo won't. I liked the Principles of Alphas section: Ingenuity, Leadership, Charisma, Discipline and Wisdom. There is hope for those of us who are willing to better ourselves and unlock this potential and undertake the journey towards the Alpha state. If you’re not willing to change, there is probably no reason to read this book. It will just make you feel bad. But if you are willing to redo yourself, this book is a manual on just how to accomplish it.

This is such a brilliant source of info! I had never heard of the term Alpha male prior to purchasing this book but now I have a clear understanding. I have 4 boys all of whom I am raising to be successful, aggressive and dominant young men. This book will provide a perfect guide for my boys to read and follow in order to achieve high goals and be properly molded as strong and commanding individuals in society. So much worth reading!

However, the lessons are more suitable for high school students. The authors tell readers to minimize their liabilities such as credit-card debt while building assets, such as starting their own businesses. Examples of the latter include charging classmates to read their comic books or for borrowing their bicycles. The lessons encourage "financial intelligence," but seem to discourage readers from getting a traditional job and fail to mention the hard work and long hours involved in running one's own business. Keltie Thomas's The Kids Guide to Money Cent$ (Kids Can, 2004) and Jamie Kyle McGillian's The Kids' Money Book (Sterling, 2003) offer far better advice.–Karen T. Rich Dad broke the code.

I ordered this book with a skeptical outlook. The other financial instruction books I purchased for my teen lasted all of ten minutes. This book arrived, she opened it, started reading, and didn't put it down until finished. She was so excited, she called me at work to tell me she had learned about assets, liabilities, expenses, and income. She said the concepts were so simple, she didn't understand why they aren't teaching this in school. Now, she's pointing out investments to me! Rich Dad actually got the attention and respect of a teenager. I'm very impressed.

Help Your Kids Save Their Pennies

This is a children's comic book that presents kids with the information that goes way beyond "Save your pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves." There are also subtle lessons on values and ethics, too. It shows--pictorially, using two different styles--how a youngster can put the concepts they represent immediately to work. The book goes well beyond the "save your pennies" philosophy I was raised on. The book introduces terms that some kids never hear until they take their first economics class. I liked the presentation style that looks vaguely like a Tim Allen movie--artistic washes, subtle tones. Kids will love the brightly colored segments. More importantly--for the parents at least--they are sure to absorb some sound ideas about ensuring their own futures. The purpose of the book is clear: the sooner you learn to manage your money, the more you'll have to enjoy.
